B-Independent

Low budget moviemaking site, with a focus on B-movies. The budgets of many of the members usually far surpass ours, but their articles are absolutely excellent. Many professional moviemakers visit the site regularly. The advice there is invaluable.

DVinfo

The DVInfo forums are the best place online to learn every technical facet of video production, including camera, sound, lighting, and software. Unlike other sites, they don't cater to a specific brand or product price range. If you have a camera, they probably have a forum for it. All the posters are professionals, and the flame wars are almost nonexistant. You could spend weeks reading the archives.

Rewind Video

One of the absolutely best sites on the Internet for independent, extremely low-budget filmmakers to gather, learn, and trade war stories. The message boards are constantly hopping, and the extensive links to other amateur filmmakers are second to none.

Wicked Pixel Cinema

"Too Progressive. Too Controversial. Too Threatening for Hollywood." Truer words were never spoken. These filmmakers in St. Louis, MO, do their own thing and have earned a worldwide following. Some of their stuff is pretty intense—but no matter what your tastes, you can't help but admire their determination and their adherence to their personal vision. They make movies while other people just talk about it.

a special hell

A secret blog for those brave enough to venture down this far on their screen. Not necessarily film-related. Posted whenever the mood strikes.
